The Curriculum Development and Instructional Support office provides ongoing professional learning for teachers to sustain the implementation of the ELA and Mathematics Georgia Standards of Excellence (GSE). Teachers have learned ways to accurately assess their students' learning of the ELA and Mathematics Georgia Standards of Excellence (GSE) and the Georgia Performance Standards (GPS) in other subjects through professional learning and resources. Technology plays an important role in teaching the GSE and GPS and monitoring how well students are performing. Professional learning includes working with technology resources available to the teachers for teaching and assessing the GSE and the GPS.
The Office of Curriculum Development and Instructional Support works closely with schools and teachers to identify and implement the most effective ways to teach and assess the CCGPS. Services are provided to help the schools ensure that students are learning the essential knowledge and skills needed to be successful in life.
