Greetings Parents, Teachers and Students,
Another summer has come and gone and we look forward to a great year at Sonoraville High! For those of you who may not know, schools in the Gordon County System became charter members of Georgia PTA in 2009. The elementary and middle schools formed Parents and Teachers Associations (PTA) and both high schools formed Parents, Teachers and Students Associations (PTSA). It was an interesting, learning experience for all involved. With the tremendous resources, opportunities, programs, and scholarships which Georgia PTA has to offer, our becoming a part of the organization is a great asset for our youth. Our initial efforts will benefit the students of Sonoraville High for many, many years. As with all associations, the PTSA will only be as good as its membership. As the name implies, it must be parents, teachers and students gathering to discuss and vote on the issues. Maybe you know of possible ways to help and improve day to day operations, or have an idea on how attendance could be increased. Working together to help ensure that each and every child enrolled at Sonoraville High is equipped with the supplies, nutritional needs, and the necessary information to get an education is what PTSA is all about.
