As you know, we Lord of the Flies characters have been stuck on this island for quite some time, and the time has come to elect a true leader – someone who will represent everyone on the island and make the tough decisions when conflict arises.

Four boys have been nominated to serve as leader:  Jack, Piggy, Ralph, and Simon.  You have been appointed to the campaign committee of one of these boys.

As a member of the campaign committee, you and your group must prepare the following for our Political Convention, which will be held on September 6th 2011

v  a campaign speech for your candidate to read (around 2 typed, double-spaced pp)

v  a PowerPoint presentation to accompany your candidate’s speech

v  at least 2 other visual aides which will accompany your candidate’s speech, which may include things such as posters, flyers, buttons, hats, banners, etc.

v  a person in the group who will play the role of your candidate during our convention and subsequent debate.
