What is FBLA? The Future Business Leaders of America is a student organization for any student in grades 9-12. Potential members are not limited to those enrolled in business and computer science classes or those planning to pursue business or business-related careers. Members have an opportunity to participate in diverse activities, including professional development, leadership enhancement, service, business, career, fundraising, and competition. Once a member pays dues, he/she is a member of the local, state, and national chapters. Members conduct chapter meetings. The executive council plans a program, ice breakers, and recognition activities. Members may attend conferences. 2012-2013 Important Information Georgia FBLA Theme: "Leaders by Design" FBLA National Theme: "Igniting Innovation" State Project: Communication is the number one job skill and is essential in business. Communication comes in many different forms: verbal, non verbal, written, formal and informal. The purpose of this state project is to educate business students on the effective use of all forms of communication in business, personal, and educational settings.
