Carrie F. Thompson Hello, my name is Carrie Thompson and I am your new SMS counselor. I am really excited about becoming a part of the Phoenix Nation. I will be dividing my responsibilities between Sonoraville Middle and Fairmount Elementary. In my 15 years here at Gordon County, I have served both as a teacher and a counselor. Before becoming an educator, I worked as a medical social worker, psychiatric assessment team counselor, and a rehabilitation counselor. My professional credentials are as follows: 2007-Initial Certification in School Counseling, University of West Georgia 2003-Reading Endorsement, Georgia RESA 2002-Interrelated Special Education, Georgia State University 1998-Specific Learning Disabilities, Georgia State University 1993-M.S. Education with Emphasis in Rehabilitation Counseling, Georgia State University 1994-National Certification CRCC #31364 (Expired 03/31/99) 1981-B.S. David Weaver My name is David Weaver and this will be my 12th year here at Sonoraville Middle School. I am a graduate of the University of West Alabama where I earned my MEd in School Counseling.
