Gordon County Schools is pleased to announce the new principals for the 2010-11 school year. Because of the system's foresight in building capacity among its leadership team members, all of these positions were filled by internal hires. It is with great confidence that these dedicated professionals are named to their new positions.

SchoolCenter Picture Taking the helm of Gordon Central High School will be current Ashworth Middle School principal, Scott McClanahan.
SchoolCenter Picture Replacing Mr. McClanahan at Ashworth Middle School will be current Gordon Central High School assistant principal, Marc Feuerbach.
SchoolCenter Picture The new Tolbert Elementary School principal will be Sket Angland, who is currently serving as the assistant principal at Swain Elementary.
SchoolCenter Picture Red Bud Elementary School will be led by its current assistant principal, Jenny Hayes.
SchoolCenter Picture Kimm Smith will move from the assistant principal's position at Fairmount Elementary School to become the new principal
SchoolCenter Picture Dr. Elizabeth Anderson will be promoted from assistant principal to principal at Sonoraville Elementary School.
