I grew up in Alpharetta, Georgia and moved to Gordon County in 1997. Both of my children attended Fairmount Elementary, and I became very involved at the school by volunteering in the Media Center and with PTA. In addition, I began to substitute at the school. I grew to love helping in the Media Center and decided to go back to school to get my Masters in Media from West Georgia University in Carrollton, Georgia. I completed my degree in 2007 and became the Media Specialist at Fairmount Elementary for two years and then became the Media Specialist at Sonoraville Elementary when it opened in August 2009. I love to read myself and love to see students develop a love for reading!
