Kristi Vaughn was recently named to the Junior Volleyball Association's "2013 JVA Watch List." Vaughn, a Sonoraville High School junior, was one of only three Georgia players to receive the award. These awards recognize JVA club players across the country for outstanding achievement on the volleyball court.
As an organization committed to the growth and development of junior volleyball, the JVA values the achievement of JVA players. "We are proud of the values put forth by our member clubs and are happy to be able to give them this opportunity to publicly recognize their most outstanding athletes" states JVA Executive Director Jenny Hahn.
This is the first year the JVA has featured this particular award. Eligible players are competing in age divisions 15-18 this club season. Vaughn has competed for the North Georgia Rage Volleyball Club for three years and helped lead Sonoraville to Georgia's "Super Six" this past season. This year's JVA Watch List features 120 female athletes representing 44 clubs. Honorees are automatically eligible for the JVA All-National Team , announced in June.
