Hello, my name is Jennifer Pulliam; I am the family advocate at Sonoravill Elementary School. As a family advocate I would like to tell you about our family support services. We believe that a child's education depends greatly on happiness and stability in the home. Sometimes families experience difficult times and need temporary assistance to get back on track. Please know that I am available to offer support and will connect you with any available resources in the community. Another important aspect of our children's education is attendance. I maintain the attendance records and work with parents that have special circumstances that may hinder their child from coming to school. Making sure your child is at school on time everyday helps them not to miss important instructional time. When that is not possible please inform me of any special circumstances that may be going on in your family. Sonoraville Elementary School offers other programs that can be helpful to parents. One program is I- Parent. This program allows you to access your child's grades, attendance, and discipline records. To enroll in this program you must come to the school and once enrolled you can access from your home computer. If you do not have a computer at home we have computers available in our Parent Involvement Room that can be used anytime during school hours. We are very proud to be one of the three elementary schools that has a Campus Security System. When coming into the school everyone must enter through the front office and sign in on this program, giving us pictures of anyone that might come into contact with your child. By also having students that are tardy or leaving early signed out on this program, those records are available to parents if needed.
