SHS Announcements:  

  • Any FFA member interested in serving as a chapter officer for next school year should see Mr. Boydston for additional info & application.

     

  • Teachers & Staff:  The plant sale will continue this week. Stop by the greenhouse during your planning or after school to grab your Spring vegetables, ferns, & flowers.

     

  • There will be a reception for Beta Club this Thursday morning at 8:45am in the cafeteria. Al officers, current members, & new members are invited to attend. New members should have received an invitation during advisement. This reception is for students only; parents of new members will be invited to underclassmen awards day in May when new members will receive pins & certificates.

     

  • All students trying out for cheerleader should take paperwork to Coach Reeves TODAY during advisement. Don’t forget you must be academically eligible and have a physical on file to try out. Open gym is Tuesday and Thursday from 4-6. All material is also on the cheer website.

     

  • Anyone interested in becoming a student athletic trainer or manager for football should see Coach Pate. Also, Coach Pate is looking for a reliable student interested in filming and technology. The student will be compensated for their work.

     

  • This is the last week for the Children’s Book Drive. Please bring new or gently used children’s books to your 1st block teacher. You may also donate money, which will be used to purchase books.

     

  • Seniors: Prom tickets are still on sale. See Mrs. Farmer if interested. Also, Seniors planning to bring a non-SHS student to prom must get an approval form from Mr. Psaila. These forms are due WEDNESDAY.

     

  • The Sonoraville Touchdown Club is hosting the 3rd Annual Powder Puff game Friday, May 17th at 2pm. Game bracelets will be sold for $3. We need players, coaches, & cheerleaders for each grade level team. Those participating must pre-order a t-shirt for $20 by Friday, May 3rd.  Anyone else interested in purchasing a powder stuff can see Mrs. White, Mrs. Farmer, or Mrs. Holland for an order form.

     

  • Seniors attending Grad Nite at Six Flags should be sure to see Ms. Everett for information about the trip, including bus departure time and the guidelines the park will have in place for those attending. Please see Ms. Everett by May 1st to get this information.

     

  • Any Senior planning to pursue a career in education should see Mrs. Holland by TODAY.
