Hello! I am a native of Snellville, GA, and I have lived in Georgia my whole life. I discovered at an early age that I had a passion for music and decided to go into teaching while I was a junior in high school.

I earned my Bachelor of Music Education with a concentration in Voice (Magna Cum Laude) from Shorter College in 2004. While at Shorter, I studied voice, choral methods, conducting, music history, theory, and piano. I began teaching in Gordon County Schools in August of 2004.  I then earned my Master of Music Education from the University of Georgia in 2007.  This is my 17th year teaching music in Gordon County.

I began singing with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Chorus in 2007 and am beginning my 14th season this year. I have performed in Carnegie Hall (New York) several times, the Kennedy Center (Washington, D.C.), and the Berlin Philharmonie (Germany). I am also beginning my 5th season with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Chamber Chorus, which is a smaller ensemble. I'm thankful to have the opportunity to continue performing, as it is my hope to instill a lifelong love of music in my students.

I currently live in Adairsville with my husband, children, cats, and dog :) Outside of music, I enjoy traveling to new places, going to concerts/musicals, shopping, and spending quality time with my family. I am also a lifelong Braves fan!
