Superintendent's Back to School Message:
Hello Gordon County Schools Families,
As we begin this year, I want to reiterate our dedication to the health and safety of students and staff. We are continuing with many of our health and safety protocols which were put into place last year such as enhanced cleaning of all rooms and buildings, limited visitors to our schools, the availability of hand sanitizer, the use of seating charts, and a focus on handwashing as well. Please remember masks are encouraged but not required and disposable masks are available on all buses and in each school upon request. We also encourage distancing when possible.
Please know that we will monitor health concerns in our schools and the community daily. The continuation of regular, in-person school operations will be determined based on pandemic data and information which will be continuously monitored. If school or community spread warrants a change of school schedule, we will implement the options utilized during the 2020-21 school year which are outlined in the student handbook and on our website.
I look forward to another successful year focused on the children of Gordon County.
Best wishes for a great academic year,
Kimberly M. Fraker, Ed.D.
