  • Miss Mills’ Class Receives Flexible Seating

    Miss Mills’ kindergarten class is loving their new flexible seating carpet squares, thanks to Mr. Jimmy Frazier at Kids World Carpet. “We are so thankful,” said Miss Mills. Flexible seating gives students a choice in what kind of learning space works best for them, and helps them to work collaboratively, communicate, and engage in critical thinking.

  • TOLBERT ELEMENTARY'S FOURTH GRADE SINGS NATIONAL ANTHEM

    The Tolbert Elementary School Fourth Grade Chorus sang The Star-Spangled Banner at the beginning of the Rome Braves Baseball game against Greenville Drive on Thursday, May 9th at State Mutual Stadium in Rome, Georgia.

  • Debra Avery named Cintas' Custodian of the Year!

    Congratulations to Debra Avery, head custodian at Tolbert Elementary, for being named Cintas' Custodian of the Year. Debra was anonymously nominated and won the contest to honor the best-of-the-best amongst school custodians. Debra was surprised today with a prize package and a gift card.

  • Tolbert's Teacher of the Year Celebration!!

    Mrs. Mallory Parris was celebrated by her Tolbert Elementary peers on Wednesday, May 1, 2019 for being named TOTY. She also received a $100 check from PTO as a small token of appreciation!!

  • COLOR RUN

    Tolbert's faculty, staff, and some students participated in GCHS Skills USA 3rd-annual Color Run on Tuesday. A great time was had by all! Proceeds raised will be donated to the We Belong Project of Calhoun, which was founded to provide resources and host events for those with special needs in our community.

  • Mallory Parris Named Soni Orthodontics’ Favorite Teacher!!!

    Mrs. Mallory Parris recognized once again…. This time within the community as Soni Orthodontics’ Favorite Teacher!!! Mrs. Parris was presented a basket full of gifts and school supplies from Soni Orthodontics. Mrs. Parris (3rd grade ELA teacher and Tolbert’s current TOTY) was nominated by multiple patients, as their favorite teacher during Soni's annual Favorite Teacher Challenge. We are extremely proud of Mrs. Parris and we thank Soni Orthodontics for recognizing what a treasure Mrs. Parris is to our students and community.

  • TOLBERT ELEMENTARY'S TRIPP MORGAN WINS FIRST PLACE!

    Tripp Morgan from Tolbert Elementary paired with Taylor Mullins from Ashworth Middle represented the Gordon Central/County Fishing Team at Lake Lanier over the weekend. They won 1st place! Congratulations Tripp and Taylor.

  • TOLBERT ELEMENTARY’S HAYDEN HYDE AWARDED 4H SCHOLARSHIP TO ATTEND SUMMER CAMP!

    Hayden Hyde, a fifth grade student, competed in a 4H public speaking competition earlier this school year at Georgia Highland College. His presentation “How to Become a Firefighter” earned him a first place title. Tolbert’s faculty and staff are extremely proud of all Hayden’s accomplishments and we hope he enjoys 4H Camp this summer.
