Gordon County School’s technology department is responsible for the management and supervision of all forms of technology within the district including hardware, software, classroom technology, networking, student data, telecommunications, and security. 
Our team is committed to creating a technologically rich learning environment for all students. Through the effective use of technology in the classroom, we believe student learning and achievement will be significantly increased. Gordon County Schools implemented a 1:1 iPad initiative during the 2017-2018 school year in which each student in Kindergarten through twelfth grade is provided with an iPad as an instructional tool.  Each classroom in Kindergarten through second grade has an iPad cart in the classroom.  Beginning in third grade, students have an iPad assigned to them and have the opportunity to take the iPad home each night.  Our 1:1 iPad initiative allows for differentiation and enhanced learning by providing a classroom environment where collaboration and creation are paramount.  Students are provided with endless opportunities that extend their learning beyond the classroom walls.
