Mrs. Autum Jackson

My name is Autum Jackson and I teach 8th grade math. This is my 14th year teaching, with 11 of those years being in the 8th grade. I grew up in Calhoun and graduated from Calhoun High School in 1995. I then attended The University of Georgia where I received a BBA in Finance in May of 1999. I started my career as an accountant for Mannington Carpets here in Calhoun and then worked as an accountant for the City of Calhoun for a year before moving into the classroom. I received my teaching certificate by completing the Georgia TAPP program and am highly qualified to teach middle grades math education. I also received a Master's degree in middle grades math from Piedmont College.

I am married to Eric Jackson and we have two daughters. Marlee is the oldest and is 16 and Kinsley is the youngest and is 14. My husband works at Shaw Industries in Dalton and my girls are in 11th and 8th grade. Marlee enjoys dancing and singing and being in musical theatre. Kinsley enjoys swimming and volleyball.

Even in these crazy times, I'm so thankful to be back in the classroom. I am looking forward to this year! As we prepare for the uncertainty we are dealing with daily, I am posting all of lessons daily on schoology. Please feel free to look there for videos and notes pages that will help you know what is happening in my classroom. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns you have at any time during the year.
