BBA University of Georgia Master's Degree Piedmont College

Mrs. Autum Jackson

My name is Autum Jackson and I teach 8th grade math. This is my 12th year teaching, with 9 of those years being in the 8th grade. I grew up in Calhoun and graduated from Calhoun High School in 1995. I then attended The University of Georgia where I received a BBA in Finance in May of 1999. I started my career as an accountant for Mannington Carpets here in Calhoun and then worked as an accountant for the City of Calhoun for a year before moving into the classroom. I received my teaching certificate by completing the Georgia TAPP program and am highly qualified to teach middle grades math education. I also received a Master's degree in middle grades math from Piedmont College.

I am married to Eric Jackson and we have two daughters. Marlee is the oldest and is 15 and Kinsley is the youngest and is 12. My husband works at Shaw Industries in Dalton and my girls are in 9th and 6th grade. Marlee enjoys dancing and singing and being in musical theatre. Kinsley enjoys swimming and volleyball.

In addition to teaching math, I am also the Tour of Georgia coordinator for the 8th grade. I would love for as many students as possible to go this year! I have a website set up for the trip, but I'm still working on getting it set up. For now, if you would like more information on the trip, please feel free to email me at ajackson@gcbe.org and please sign up for the remind by texting @tog2019 to the number 81010.
