Mr. Keith B. Shepherd
After receiving my associate degree in electronics technology, I worked for a time in industry. Electrical controls became my passion and I was soon taking classes again working on a bachelors degree. Working my way through college as a telephone repairman and later an engineering technologist.
I started teaching in a Vocational School in the area of Industrial Technology. After teaching and working for a number of years in the expanding field of industrial technology and electronic/electrical wiring, I moved to the North Georgia Area.
I worked as a Electrical Technican for a local carpet manufacturer and then moved to my present company, Mohawk Industries. I have been working with Mohawk Industries for the past 13 years and have had various positions from Technical Trainer, to CMMS training, to Rebility Engineering and Proect Engineering and now work as a Senior Project Engineering Instructor.
I presently teach at the Gordon County College and Career Academy for two periods per day in the Mechatronics Program.
I spend the remainder of my day working at Mohawk Industries in the Engineering Department and assisting with the Mohawk Apprenticeship program.
