Degrees and Certifications:

Mr. Mark Waters

I am in my 33rd year as an educator here in Gordon County. I began my career at GCHS in 1986 as a science teacher. I left GC in 2005 to help open Sonoraville High School as the lead science teacher. I became an assistant principal in 2007.

I have a Bachelor's degree in Natural Science from Shorter College. A Master's degree from West Georgia College and an Education Specialist degree in Science Education from the University of Alabama. I also have an add on degree in Administration from Kennesaw State University.

All three of my grown children are products of Gordon County Schools and I am very proud of all that this system has accomplished.

I am excited to be joining the CCA team as an admin and I will also be working to create opportunities for our students to earn science elective credits while they are completing their CCA pathways.
