Mr. Richard Baggett
I'm Mr. Baggett and I am one of the senior teachers at RBMS (born 1960) but I entered into teaching as a second career in my 40's. I have a BA from the University of Alabama and Masters degrees from Souther Seminary and Georgia State University. Before becoming an educator, I had a career as a Christian minister, marriage and family therapist, Chaplain and therapist for a residential hospital for children and teens with severe emotional and behavioral disorders and as a director of an Outdoor Therapeutic Program for troubled boys. I have been teaching for about 18 years now with most of this experience being in 8th grade math. I took a brief detour to teach some high school classes as well. I have been married for 37 years and have 4 grown sons and 6 grand children. It is my goal to help my students be prepared for the rigors of high school mathematics. Equally important, is to help these young men and women grow and mature to be responsible individuals who make good choices each and every day. I look forward to partnering with you and your students on this journey.
