Mr. Brian Hall

Degrees and Certifications:

Mr. Brian Hall

My name is Brian Hall, and I am excited to begin my second year as the assistant principal of Sonoraville Elementary, where we foster strength in every student. It is a joy to work alongside Mrs. Beason and our faculty and staff to ensure that our students learn and grow in a welcoming, supportive environment.

Gordon County has always been my home; I graduated from Gordon Central High School in 2006. After completing my bachelor's degree in secondary English education at Kennsaw State University (Hooty Hoo!), I began my career at Ashworth Middle School teaching 7th grade English language arts. I spent three years there before moving to Gordon Central High School to teach A.P. English and Video/Audio Production. I obtained my master's degree in English education from Piedmont College and my specialist in educational leadership from Valdosta State University.

I was the 2015-2016 Gordon County Schools Teacher of the year and 2017 STAR Teacher for Calhoun/Gordon County schools. My prior positions include gifted coordinator at Ashworth, gifted coordinator at Gordon Central, and CTAE department chair. Currently I am working on my doctorate in leadership at Valdosta State University. My passion for creating connections with students to elevate them educationally and emotionally is reflected in my daily decision-making process.

When I am not at school, I spend time with my wife, Elisha, and our 1 year old son Beckett. Although I miss the hours of sleep I no longer get, I would not trade being a parent for anything. My hobbies include reading, writing, and photography.

If you ever have a need or concern, please do not hesitate to e-mail me at or call at 706-879-5302.
