Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Selena Cooper
Welcome to a new year at Sonoraville Elementary School! I am excited and looking forward to a wonderful school year.
I would like to introduce myself. My name is Selena Cooper. I am highly qualified to teach pre-K through fifth grade. This will be my fourteen-year teaching kindergarten for the 2019-2020 school year. I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of West Georgia in 2006, my Master's degree in Early Childhood Education in 2009 from Kennesaw State University, and a Specialist degree in Teaching and Learning through Piedmont College in December 2010.
I am working hard to set up a pleasant atmosphere in the classroom; one in which the children are welcomed each day, feel comfortable, look forward to coming to, and most importantly, one in which learning takes place! I believe all children can learn, and my job is to discover how to help each do his or her best.
Your child is very important to me, and I want him or her to learn a lot and enjoy kindergarten. Please feel free to contact me by note or e-mail (firstname.lastname@example.org) should you have any questions or concerns regarding your child. If you need to see me for a conference, please remember to make an appointment so we may talk with no interruptions, and I can give you my full attention!
The Communication Folder will be sent home every day. Please keep any practice work and go over it with your child. The folder should be returned the following school day.
Thank you again for allowing me to teach your child this year.
Looking forward to a great year!
