Mrs. Cheryn Worley
As the new school year begins I want you to know how much I look forward to having your child in my classroom. I would like to share a few personal things about myself, as well as my preparation and enthusiasm for teaching.
I have been teaching in Gordon County for twenty four years. I have taught second grade for two years and first grade for 12 years. This is my tenth year teaching kindergarten. I received my teaching credentials from Berry College. In 2000, I received my Masters of Education degree from Brenau University. In July 2003, I earned my Education Specialist degree at Lincoln Memorial University. I also continue to update my skills through regularly participating in professional development such as technology and curriculum instruction to remain highly qualified to teach your child.
I have lived in Gordon County all my life. I grew up on a dairy farm in the Sonoraville community with my parents Harry and Jane Butler. I have been married to Ben Worley for 22 years. Our oldest son Lane is seventeen years old and will be a Senior at SHS. Our youngest son Clay is twelve and will be in the seventh grade at RBMS. My family and I currently reside in the Sonoraville community.
I attended Sonoraville Elementary, Ashworth Middle, and Gordon Central High School. My parents and the qualified teachers of Gordon County encouraged me to pursue my dream of becoming an educator. I am delighted to work in a school in Gordon County, especially Sonoraville Elementary.
