Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Emmie Martin
Welcome to fourth grade at Sonoraville Elementary School! My name is Emmie Martin, and I am very excited to be your child’s teacher this school year! I have a heart for children and it is my goal to guide them in becoming the best students and members of society they can be. We are going to have a wonderful, exciting year together at Sonoraville Elementary!
I am a graduate of Shorter University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education. I have also completed my Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from Kennesaw State University and my Education Specialist degree in Media and Instructional Technology from the University of West Georgia. I have a T-6 certificate, and I am highly qualified to teach your child. This will be my thirteenth year in the classroom. I previously taught first grade for three years at Red Bud Elementary and second grade here at Sonoraville Elementary for three years. This is my seventh year teaching fourth grade. I feel my experience will enable me to prepare your child for a successful fourth grade year and ready to move on to fifth grade.
I look forward to working closely with you and your child this school year. In order to build “Strength In Every Student”, I will depend on you to be a key player in your child’s education. Together, we can guide your child to become the best all-around student and person he or she can be. I will be posting weekly newsletters on Class Dojo to keep you informed of our class’s activities. Thank you for your support and I look forward to working closely with you this year!
