Mr. Trace Vaughn

I’m Trace Vaughn, and I am excited to be back in the classroom for my third year after serving as graduation coach at SHS for the previous 12 years. Prior to that, I taught ESS for five years at Ashworth Middle School. Before finding my way to the field of education, I worked with non-profit organizations, primarily serving adults with disabilities. I also served as the Executive Director for United Way of Gordon County.  I will be serving this year as an ESS resource teacher as well as teaching a study skills/credit recovery course.

My recently departed wife of 27 years, Melanie, and I have three daughters, two of whom graduated from Sonoraville.  I have coached volleyball at Sonoraville High School for 12 years, the last seven as head coach.  I began my coaching career at the age of 16 with a 10 year-old basketball team.  I am now in my 38th year of coaching, including teams from DI down to T-ball...and I have greatly enjoyed every step of the way.

I look forward to serving you to the best of my abilties. Please feel free to contact me at any time.
