My name is Deron Walraven and this is my 20th year teaching and my 9th year at SHS.  I teach in the Mathematics Department.  I am the Defensive Coordinator for the SHS football team.  I am married to Dr. Andrea Walraven, who teaches Social Studies at SHS, and we have two children, Ella Kate is a 7th grader at RBMS and Charlie is a 5th grader at SES.  I am a graduate of Gordon Central High School (1993), received my Bachelor's Degree from Carson-Newman College and my Master's Degree from Capella University.  I am excited to be part of the Phoenix Nation and look forward to a great school year.
