Mrs. Kelly Macks

My name is Kelly Macks. I was born and raised here in Gordon County, Georgia. I graduated from Gordon Central in 1998 and went to college at The University of West Georgia where I earned a Bachelors of Science Degree in Early Childhood Education. I earned a Master's Degree in 2020 in Elementary Reading and Math. I taught second and third grade at Sharp Creek Elementary in Carroll County, Georgia for nine years and was chosen as Teacher of the Year. Then I taught third and fourth grade at Country Oaks Elementary in LaBelle, Florida for five years. While teaching in Florida, I had the honor of being named Country Oaks Teacher of the Year and Hendry County Teacher of the Year. This is my sixth year teaching at Tolbert Elementary. I was named Tolbert Teacher of the Year in 2020 and was a District Finalist. I taught first grade for four years and am currently teaching second grade. I cherish all of the students, parents, teachers, and staff that I have had the opportunity to work with and learn from over the years. I am excited to grow with a new group of awesome students, parents, and educators!
