Mrs. Sabrina Tucker
Hello! I am Mrs. Sabrina Tucker and this is my third year at Tolbert Elementary School. I am continuing to serve as our EIP (Early Intervention Program) teacher for students who have been identified as needing extra support in Reading and/or Math. This year I will see students in Kindergarten, 2nd, 4th, and 5th grades. Most often you will find me working in a collaborative teaching environment with classroom teachers to support our students through differentiated and/or individualized instruction. Alternatively, I can pull smaller groups and/or individuals out of the classroom for quieter work sessions if need be.
Including my EIP teaching experience, I have taught all grades (K-5) in several metro Atlanta and North Georgia school systems: Atlanta Public Schools, Cherokee County, Cobb County, Dekalb County (student teaching), Forsyth County, Fulton County, and Gordon County. I earned my BA in Early Childhood Education (Elementary Education) from Oglethorpe University in 1998; MEd in Curriculum and Instruction from Grand Canyon University in 2013; and I am currently working on my EdS in Instructional Technology from University of West Georgia (Summer 2020). My next step goal is to pursue my Doctorate in Leadership. I have been extremely fortunate to work alongside great leaders in education and for incredible administrators who demonstrate mentoring leadership! Because of them I have a strong desire to help teachers help their students. I want to be able to empower others with the same love for teaching and passion for learning that we strive to instill in our own students.
In addition to being a teacher, I am a wife and a mother. I'm married to Ray Tucker (III) and we have five children (Maddie-23, Brendan-17, Landon-15, Kendall-9, and Sassy Cassie-7). Ray teaches Math at Gordon Central High School. This is his 20th year. [His dad, Ray Tucker (Jr), teaches Math at Sonoraville High School. This is his 50th year!]
I'm here to help our students and our families! Let me know if there is anyway that I can help you or your child!
Thank you for blessing us with your greatest blessings!
