Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Green

My name is Tara Green and I am the Reach and G6 teacher at Swain elementary.  I love teaching and have taught many students of various ages. Prior to this position I taught first grade, third grade, fourth grade, and was also a gifted resource teacher.

I graduated from Dalton State with my bachelor's in early childhood education in 2006.  During my undergraduate I also obtained an ESOL endorsement, which would allow me to help students in which English was their second language.

After completing my first year of teacher I decided to get an endorsement in gifted education. In 2008 I started working on a master’s degree.  I completed my master's in early childhood education in 2010 from the University of West Georgia. During that time, I also obtained a Reading Endorsement from the University.  I am currently working on my specialist degree in instruction and curriculum from Piedmont College.  I am professionally qualified to teach all students in kindergarten through fifth grade.
