Mrs. Jessica Waters

Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Jessica Waters

Hi, my name is Jessica Waters.  I am so ecstatic to be teaching your child this year.  Fifth grade is a wonderful year full of growth and new experiences.  Your child is going through an amazing journey of maturing for middle school, and I am beyond excited to help on this journey.

I graduated from Pickens High School in 2005 and began my college education at North Georgia College and State University in Dahlonega the same year.  I left NGCSU when my husband and I married and finished my Bachelors of Education at Reinhardt College in Waleska.  After graduating with my Bachelors, I decided to go back to school for my Masters and Specialist degree from Piedmont College in Demorest.

In 2008, I married my high school sweetheart, Stephen Waters. I moved to Fairmount, which has been my husband's home since birth.  I am a transplant to Fairmount, but I can't imagine living anywhere else now.  In 2011 we were blessed with the birth of our daughter Bristol, and in 2015 with the birth of our son Waylon. Bristol is currently in the 4th grade and Waylon is in Kindergarten at FES.  Our hearts are filled to the brim, and we are very lucky to have two wonderful kiddos.

As any of my colleagues can tell you, I LOVE to bake and do so in most of my free time.  My family enjoys watching movies and spending quality time together in the afternoons and on the weekends.  We recently bought a camper and are excited to make lasting memories on our new travels.

I want your child to have a love of math and learning.  I want them to feel comfortable and safe in my classroom.  I will love your child and treat them as if they were my own.

This is my eleventh year of teaching in Gordon County and my tenth at FES. I feel blessed to work in an amazing school!  Every day is a new opportunity to create a love of math for the children I teach.

If you have any questions or concerns throughout the year, please feel free to call the school, write me a note, or send me a dojo message.
