Dear GCHS family, friends, and community partners,

As principal of Gordon Central High School, it my honor and pleasure to welcome you to the 2018-19 school year.   We work every day to meet the needs of our students by emphasizing a student focused learning environment that places the needs of our students first.  Gordon Central establishes high expectations for our students and works through a wide variety of programs to ensure students are prepared to move into a successful career path upon graduation.  With support from our parents, students, staff, and community members, we are building a strong community of learners that will positively impact Gordon County for generations to come.

Students and their learning is the #1 priority at GCHS and we work hard to offer them a wide variety of learning opportunities.  We offer Advanced Placement (AP) classes in many content areas and are always looking to add additional offerings at a time when other schools are pulling away from these strenuous classes.  We also partner with Georgia Northwestern Technical College to offer duel enrollment classes for our students to earn both high school credits along with college credits while enrolled at GCHS.  We graduate numerous students each year that enter college with 15 college credits or more from our duel enrollment program.

GCHS offers a wide variety of athletics, fine arts programs as well as numerous clubs and activities so that all students can find something that interests them to get plugged into.  I have found that students that get involved in an extra-curricular activity enjoy their time in high school to a greater degree and are more successful in their learning.

Thank you for visiting our webpage.  Feel free to visit the school at any time to see the great work that is taking place each day.  We love showing off what our students are learning and cherish the opportunity to share their accomplishments with our community.  If you have any questions contact us at your convenience.

 Go Warriors!
