Mrs. Carol S. Ferguson

Hello!  I'm from Spartanburg, South Carolina.  I was in the orchestra and drama departments in high school.  I was the Spanish club president and service club most active member.   I went to Clemson where I loved every minute of study, comradery, and service to the community!  Go Tigers!

I have traveled to 4 continents and 49 US states.  My goal is to see all 50 states and all 7 continents!

I have lived in Georgia for 28 years.  I met Mr. Ferguson in 1993 and after a bit we were married for 23 years (until he passed in 2016).   I teach Spanish here at Gordon Central and have been teaching in Georgia for 27 years.  I love traveling, watching movies, and trying different foods.  I sing in the church choir and quilt in a local guild.  I love Calhoun and Gordon County where we can see these beautiful hills nearby.  I love what we're doing here.  Go Warriors!

In other schools I've also taught French, History, English as a Second Language, and drama.  I've been the leader of several different clubs and field trips in the past.

I am also a member of a local church, Delta Kappa Gamma, American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese, and have been to conferences and workshops in several other Foreign Language groups such as FLAG, SCOTFL, and TPRS.
