Mrs. Lena Freeman


I graduated from the University of West GA with a Bachelor of Science in Education - Specialization: Speech-Language Pathology (2000) and a Masters in Teaching Special Education with a concentration in English Language Arts (2016).

I am certified in the following areas:Special Education (SPED) General Curriculum P-12 – consultative, SPED Language Arts, SPED Social Science, and SPED Reading. 


I previously worked as a self-contained special education teacher and provided speech therapy to students with communication needs here in Gordon County. I also taught kindergarten in the private sector for six years and provided private reading tutoring. This is my third year at Gordon Central High School, and I am thrilled to be a part of the Warrior Nation!


I grew up in Gordon County and graduated from Fairmount High School. I married the love of my life in 1999, and we have been blessed with two daughters who are in high school here in Gordon County. We have two lazy cats, Winnie and Yoda, and 1 puppy. In my spare time I like to read, knit and spend time with my family.
