Ms. Barbara S. Hall
Ms. Barbara S. Hall is a native of Atlanta, GA and a graduate of The Fort Valley State College, where she earned a bachelor of art’s degree in English. She earned a master’s degree in secondary education from Piedmont College in 2002, and a specialist degree from there as well in 2014. Ms. Hall is presently employed at Gordon Central High School in Calhoun, GA, where she has worked for the past twenty-one years as an English teacher. Her duties are many and her commitment to the school and students is great as she serves in the following capacities: Yearbook Adviser, head coach of the varsity basketball cheerleaders, Student Government Adviser, and Homecoming Committee Chairperson.
Ms. Hall’s professional affiliations include the Northwest Georgia Cheer Judges Association, Georgia Cheer Coaches Association, Georgia Association of Educators, and membership in the National Council of Teachers of English. Her tenure as a cheer coach spans eighteen years, and she serves as an official during the high school cheerleading competitive season, which she has done for sixteen plus years.
Prior to employment with the Gordon County Board of Education, Ms. Hall worked with the Cobb County Department of Family and Children services, where she worked in the areas of AFDC, food stamp and Medicaid certification for seven years. She lives a quiet life in the peaceful town of Calhoun.
