Mr. Will Skiffen
Hello Warriors and Parents of Warriors!
My name is Will Skiffen and I am a Social Studies teacher at Gordon Central High School. This will be my 3rd year teaching, and this year I am proud to announce that I will be teaching American Government exclusively, meaning that my focus will be to teach the young Freshmen class the inner workings of our American politcal system!
I have been a lover of history and politics all my life! I have lived most of my life here in Calhoun, and I am a graduate of our county school system. I graduated 5th grade from Belwood, 8th grade from Ashworth, and I graduated 12th grade from Gordon Central High School. It has been a blast getting to come back to GC and teach at my Alma Mater, and I am bringing the spirit that I had as a teenager back with me!
This year, I will also be helping in several different areas. I will be helping with 9th Grade Warrior Academy and I cannot wait to work with these amazing students and the projects to come! Also, I am the advisor for History Club alongside fellow Social Studies teacher Ashli Hall. We both hope to bring the love of history to the students through guest speakers, small field trips, and so much more! I am also the Assistant Coach for Gordon Central's Volleyball team, primarily working with the Junior Varsity team.
Outside of my professional duties at Gordon Central, I am a simple family man at home. I am married to Stephanie Skiffen, who teaches elementary school in Bartow County and we have a daughter, Harmony Skiffen, who is going into the 5th Grade at Sonoraville Elementary this year!
I am an open book and if you would like to know more about myself or the plans I have for my classes, stay tuned to this page for updates or feel free to email me anytime! GO WARRIORS!!
