Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Ginger Reeves
Hello Phoenix Nation! My name is Ginger Reeves. This will be year 32 for me!! I have taught 3rd, 4th, 6th, 7th and 8th grade students in a variety of subjects and in both the general education and special needs setting. Most of my career has been in the English language arts department at the middle school level. Being an ESS teacher last year helped me acclimate to the high school environment at Sonoraville High School, and now I will be teaching 9th - 10th Literature. My husband Allen and I have two children: Alyssa, 2008 graduate of Calhoun High School and Dylan, 2013 graduate of Sonoraville High School. We are both transplants to Georgia. Allen grew up in Louisiana, and I grew up in Alabama. (No, I am not an Alabama fan. My dad played football for Auburn, so we are definitely WAR EAGLE fans. LOL). I earned my bachelor's degree in elementary education at Troy State University.
Coaching cheerleading is not just a duty of mine but a passion. The love for the sport and the encouragement of spirit within the school inspires me to work with 30-40 teenage girls on a daily basis. With the help of Taylor Ballew, we have the wonderful and exciting job of facilitating the football, basketball, and competition cheerleaders to the next level in spirit and teamwork.
I love my job and hope my enthusiasm for both coaching and the love of learning will sprinkle just a little bit onto the Sonoraville community and in turn the children/teenagers being raised here. Life lessons - Learning to be flexible - Positive mind sets..... Let's go SHS!
