I am so excited to be at Sonoraville Elementary.  I teach Special Education K-5 reading, writing, and math.  I graduated from Judson College in 1994 with a Bachelor's Degree.  In 2007, I graduated from Kennesaw State with a Master's in Special Education.  I was born in Indiana, raised mostly in Illinois, and I have lived in Oklahoma, California, and Michigan.  Georgia is my favorite!  I have lived here for 23 years, and I won't go anywhere else.  I have taught in Gordon County for 22 years.  I started off in general education and taught in Pre-K, 3rd grade, and 4th grade.  I have taught Special Educaiton for 17 years.

I am married and have two children.  JD is 18 and is a freshman at Dalton State.  He enjoys soccer and was the goalie for the varsity team at SHS his senior year.  Jarrett is 7 and is in the 2nd grade.  He enjoys swimming and is on the Calhoun Swim Team - The Nitros.  My husband, Joseph, is a salesman/project manageer for a large mechanical company that specializes in industrail heat and air.

My family is very involved at church.  We go to Bethesda Baptist where my husband and I teach the high school kids for Sunday School.  On Wednesday nights, I get to take care of the babies in the nursery.  My family also enjoys campling, but we don't go as often as we would like.  We currently live in the Red Bud area, but we bought land in the Sonoraville district and hope to move by next summer.
