School Counseling is an important part of the overall education experience for all students. A comprehensive school counseling program incorporates social-emotional learning along with academic support and career exploration throughout the school year. American School Counselor Association (ASCA) has a set of standards that are used a guideline along with the Georgia Department of Education Standards for School Counseling to create a P-12 curriculum. Students at Fairmount Elementary School will by taugh monthly lessons by Ms. Cunningham, the school counselor.
