Julie Psaila

Welcome to 5th Grade!  I am looking forward to a GREAT year with your child!

This is my 18th year teaching, and I can’t imagine doing anything else.  Although this is my first year at Belwood, I have been with Gordon County Schools for 15 years.  I have also taught in Whitfield County and Calhoun City. I have an Education Specialist in Curriculum and Instruction from Lincoln Memorial University, a Master's degree in Early Childhood Education from Kennesaw State University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Berry College with an English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) endorsement.

I am originally from LaFayette, but my husband, Joe, and I moved to Calhoun in 2005.  We have three children who will attend Belwood with me with year.  Joe is also an educator and teaches at Sonoraville High School. We enjoy spending time together as a family and going on fun adventures.

I believe the communication between parents and teachers is vital for a successful year for your child.  Please don’t hesitate to contact me anytime!
