Hi, my name is Matt Fox, and I am beginning my seventeenth year in education and first as an assistant principal at Sonoraville High School. For the past three years, I have served as an assistant principal at Red Bud Middle. I am a proud graduate of the Gordon County School System and feel proud to raise my family here. I am happily married to my wife, Brittney, who is the office manager at Lim Family Dentistry in Adairsville. Together, we have a son Hollis who is five years old and will be attending first grade at Belwood Elementary this year. He enjoys all things to do with sports, school and outdoor activities. We also have a daughter named Harper, who will be three in October. She attends First Methodist preschool and enjoys anything Disney related, dance, animals and what her brother is doing. In our free time, we enjoy supporting our children’s activities, swimming and Disney.
I taught 7th grade social studies and coached a variety of sports before moving into administration. The highlights of my years of teaching include being named Teacher of the Year at Sonoraville Middle School in 2010. I also coached the first region championship team at Red Bud Middle while coaching girls’ basketball. I also received the NWGA Tip-Off Club Middle school coach of the year.
