Gordon County Schools strives to develop positive relationships with employees, students, parents, local businesses, elected officials and media representatives; provide the public with accurate, timely and transparent information through a variety of communication tools; increase community awareness; promote students' and employees’ successes; and to build support and trust for public education.
Gordon County Schools' communications consists of a wide variety of means designed to inform the community about its schools. In addition, marketing and community relations support is provided to individual schools and departments to assist in fostering a culture of success for the district as a whole.
Gordon County Schools communicates through a variety of platforms. The district website is the official source for information pertaining to the district and its operations. Additionally, the district has a presence on social media platforms- Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram; in print media- The Calhoun Times and The Chattanooga Times Free Press, among others; and on various local radio stations' and magazines' print an online forums.
