Hello, Phoenix Nation!  My name is Amy Stewart, and I proudly serve as principal at Sonoraville High School. I have called Gordon County Schools home my entire professional career, which began in 1996 as a science teacher at Gordon Central. When Sonoraville High School opened in 2005, I was hired to teach science as part of the inaugural faculty and transitioned to administration in 2008. I served as assistant principal for a decade, until becoming principal of Red Bud Middle School in 2018. I was blessed with the opportunity to return to SHS, as principal, in 2021. I live in the Sonoraville community and, therefore, feel strongly invested in leading students and staff in “Setting a Higher Standard” in academics, arts, and athletics. Go Phoenix!!!

My name is Jesse Martin, and I have the pleasure of serving as one your assistant principals. I am beginning my 18th year in education, all of which have been in Gordon County. I was a math teacher at Sonoraville High School for 14 years and then served as an assistant principal at Red Bud Middle School for one year before transitioning back to Sonoraville High School as an assistant principal. I am excited about the opportunity to serve the students, faculty, staff, and community of SHS and to be a part of the great things they are doing. The Phoenix Nation has always been special to me, so to be able to continue being a part of this community in a different role is an honor.
