Mr. David McLaughlin

I am very excited to be the computer science instructor for Gordon County Schools at the College & Career Academy. In addition to that curricular role, I serve as the vollleyball and girls' soccer coach for Ashworth Middle.

My wife Melissa, an art teacher with Floyd County Schools, and I have been married since 1995. We have two children, Dylan and Mercedes.

I started my teaching career during the 1994-95 school year. Over the course of my career I have had the following roles at these schools.

♦ EBD Lead Therapist: Cass Model, and Coosa Middle

♦ Special education teacher: White Elementary, East Central Elementary, and Armuchee Middle

♦ Assistant Principal: Cedartown High

♦ Reading Specialist: Armuchee, Coosa and Pepperell Middle

♦ STEM Teacher: Armuchee Middle

♦ Hearing Imparied Teacher: Armuchee Middle
