RBMS Custodian #GCS2ndMile Award Winner

Becky Underwood, Head Custodian at Red Bud Middle School is the November #GCS2ndMile Award Winner. Receiving multiple nominations, Becky has demonstrated among her colleagues at Red Bud Middle that she takes pride in their school. Marsha Walden from RBMS included in her nomination, "Ms. Becky works tirelessly to keep our building looking new. We have been in this building for over 5 years now and when you walk in you still feel like it is brand new because she works so hard to keep it clean.” RBMS Teacher Lauren Stanley added, "I've never heard her complain once, but always see her working hard to keep our school looking like one of the nicest around!” Sandra Cash, also part of the Red Bud Middle School team added, “When our school opened she was a very big part of our smooth transition; seeing to it that every teacher had all of their supplies in their classrooms prior to the days we were allowed to come work and set up our rooms. She pays attention to the adults and students in the building.”

Becky was surprised during lunch today with a bouquet of flowers and an invitation to the Board of Education meeting on Monday evening, where she will be honored with a special presentation sponsored by Longhorn Steakhouse.
