JAMES MORRIS NAMED RED BUD ELEMENTARY'S 2020-2021 TEACHER OF THE YEAR!

James Morris is currently in his 12th year of teaching. He has taught in Effingham, Cobb, and is now proud to call Gordon County his home. James has taught a wide variety of subjects including Earth Science, Life Science, Physics, STEM, and now currently leads the Reach program at Red Bud Elementary. In addition to teaching the Reach class, he heads the Robotics Club, Maker Club, Cardinal Electric Racing Club, and is the school's Apple Vanguard representative. Outside of school, James helps to run the Cobb Schools Title 1 and County Elementary Science Olympiad and is one of the head judges for the water rocket event at the State Elementary Science Olympiad events. James has been a presenter and represented the schools at the Georgia Science Teacher Association conference, the Georgia STEM/STEAM Forum, STEMapalooza, and the Georgia Association of Gifted Children conference. He volunteers his time in several schools in order to help their STEM/STEAM teachers build their program through the use of 3D printing and rapid prototyping.
