SCOTT WHEAT NAMED 2ND MILE WINNER FOR NOVEMBER

Scott Wheat, Head Custodian at Gordon Central High School, is Gordon County Schools’ November 2nd Mile Award winner. "Mr. Wheat goes above and beyond everyday. Whatever anyone needs, he takes care of it. I have personally witnessed Mr. Wheat help students and teachers everyday with projects/problems that are not part of his job,” said Celeste Hendrix, GCHS receptionist. Another nomination came from GCHS teacher, Carol Ferguson,"He is an amazing person and is always ahead of the job! He's here on the weekends checking on things! He is incredible throughout the week!” Mr. Wheat was surprised at Gordon Central today by Director of Human Resources, Alice Mashburn, and the administrative staff at Gordon Central High School. He was also honored at the Board of Education meeting by Dr. Fraker and members of the Board, as well as GCHS principal Brian Hall, on Monday evening with a gift sponsored by Longhorn of Calhoun.
