LAURA WOLFE NAMED DISTRICT TEACHER OF THE YEAR

Gordon County Schools named its District Teacher of the Year on Thursday, following a several month COVID-related delay after naming the district finalists last March.

Laura Wolfe, 6th-grade science teacher at Ashworth Middle School was awarded the honor during a surprise gathering of her 6th-grade students and colleagues. On hand for the naming were Mrs. Wolfe's husband, Jeremy, and their two sons, Nathaniel and Parker, as well as Superintendent Dr. Kimberly Fraker, Board of Education Chairperson Mr. Charlie Walraven, and other school and district leaders.

Mrs. Wolfe will represent the district as the 2020-2022 Teacher of the Year.
