Annelies Carr recently competed in the State FFA Lawnmowing and Operations Competition. The contest consisted of three parts. The written exam tested general knowledge on lawnmower operations, maintenance, and safety. Secondly, competitors had to determine the problem and the best solution to the problem in ten problem solving questions. Finally students had two and a half minutes to take a practical driving test, exhibiting skills in driving a commercial Zero Turning Radius lawnmower through a designed course. Out of twelve state finalists, Carr was the only female and placed second in the state competition.
