Students in Mrs. Cooper’s class wrote about “the scoop” on who they are, connecting perfectly with Mrs. Cooper’s ice cream theme. By learning more about students’ interests, personalities, and experiences, Mrs. Cooper is helping create meaningful learning experiences that support each child.
Students also shared written reflections about their first day in first grade, giving them a chance to celebrate a great beginning to the school year.

Available at all Gordon County elementary schools, the After School Program (ASP) provides students in Pre-K through 5th grade with a safe and caring environment from school dismissal until 6:00 p.m. each school day. Students can enjoy study time, recreational activities, arts and crafts, enrichment opportunities, and a daily snack.
We highly encourage families to register before the first day of school. You can do this through the Eleyo online registration system at gcbe.ce.eleyo.com. The annual registration fee is $25 per family. Daily attendance is $10 for the first child and $8 for each additional child.
