National Scholarships:

Elks National Foundation Most Valuable Student Scholarship: The 2024 MVS application is now open. Applications can be found online at enf.elks.org/MVSThe application deadline is November 13, 2023. The Elks National Foundation (ENF) awards 500 four-year scholarships based on academics, leadership, and financial need. National awards range from $1,000 per year to $7,500 per year.  MVS scholarships are for students pursuing a four-year degree on a full-time basis (minimum of 12 semester hours), at a U.S. college or university next school year.

The Hagan Scholarship: The Hagan Scholarship is a nationwide need-based merit scholarship, designed to provide recipients with the opportunity to graduate college debt-free. Applicants must attend a traditional public high school governed by a school district. Free workshops, Free Schwab Brokerage Accounts and Free Study Abroad provide recipients with a practical understanding of important life skills not typically covered in the school curriculum. Recipients graduating college while in the Hagan Scholarship Program can apply for a Hagan Graduate Scholarship good for up to four additional consecutive semesters. GE Reagan Foundation Scholarship: The GE-Reagan Foundation Scholarship offers college scholarships of up to $40,000 for high school seniors nationwide who showcase leadership, drive, integrity, and citizenship. Jackie Robinson Foundation Scholarship: The Jackie Robinson Foundation provides a multi-faceted experience designed to not only address the financial needs of students who aspire to attend college but to guide them through the process of higher education. Breanna Coleman Memorial Nursing Scholarship: This scholarship seeks to honor the life of Breanna Coleman by supporting students who share her passion for nursing and helping others. Any high school senior who will be a first-generation college student pursuing a four-year degree in nursing may apply for this scholarship if they have volunteering and extracurricular involvement. The Dream.US Scholarship: TheDream.US scholarships are for highly motivated undocumented students who want to get a college education but are unable to afford the cost. They have no access to federal aid, limited access to state aid, and they sometimes face paying out-of-state tuition. The application deadline is January 31, 2024. Elks National Foundation Legacy Award: The Legacy Awards program begins on September 1, 2023.  Legacy Awards provide $4,000 scholarships for children and grandchildren of dues-paying Elk members. State and Local Scholarships:

UNG's Georgia Military Service Scholarship: The Georgia Military Service Scholarship is worth about $85,000+ over four years! The State of Georgia funds 42 full scholarships per year to Georgia high school seniors who agree to enlist in the Georgia Army National Guard, attend the University of North Georgia, participate in the Corps of Cadets, and commission as officers in the Georgia Army National Guard after graduating with their bachelor's degrees. The scholarship covers almost all of your expenses, including tuition, books, uniforms, fees, meals, and housing. The 2024 application deadline is November 15, 2023. P.U.L.L. Scholarship: The Pull movement is offering a $2,000 scholarship to three different students who can critically analyze the construct of race. As we examine how we group people in America, this scholarship is designed to empower unique individuals. The 2024 application deadline is November 30, 2023. WIFI Scholarship: The WIFI scholarship program helps women attend post-secondary education and continuing education programs, as well as gain industry-accredited certifications. Anyone who identifies as a woman working in the floor covering industry or a woman interested in a career in the floorcovering industry is eligible to participate in the scholarship program. An essay of 750 words or less and a letter of recommendation are required. The 2024 application deadline is November 30, 2023. North Georgia EMC Chairman's Memorial Scholarship: The NGEMC Chairman’s Memorial Scholarship is offered to high school seniors who live with an NGEMC member. The $2,500 scholarship is awarded to one senior in each of the seven counties served by NGEMC. These counties are Catoosa, Chattooga, Floyd, Gordon, Murray, Walker, and Whitfield. C.V. Glassco Memorial Scholarship: The scholarship benefits individuals pursuing an associate's, bachelor's degree, or State of Alabama-approved workforce training program. This one-time award is for full-time enrolled students to attend any accredited institution of higher learning in the United States. Graduating high school seniors from the counties served by the Family Savings Credit Union ( Georgia counties served: Bartow, Floyd, Gordon, Paulding, and Polk) are eligible to apply for the scholarship without regard race, religion, gender, national origin or disability. Better Business Bureau Scholarship: BBB of Southeast Tennessee and Northwest Georgia will award scholarships to students graduating in the class of 2024. Judges will select the scholarship recipients based on their overall personal integrity and character, their personal achievements, contributions to their communities and schools, and academic accomplishments. Deadline for completed forms and essays is Friday, March 8, 2024 (postmarked or hand delivered by 3:00 pm eastern time). Sam and Mae Byrd and Jake Puryear Detachment Scholarship: This scholarship is available to high school seniors whose family member is currently serving or has served in the Marine Corps. Calhoun Woman's Club Scholarship: The Calhoun Woman’s Club is excited to learn about you and to show our support for your future plans. We want to help a student who wants to serve their community, needs assistance, and has the drive to receive a degree. LGE Scholarship: LGE’s annual scholarship program helps exceptional high school seniors from our communities attend the college, university, or technical school of their dreams by providing them with a $2,500 scholarship. Requirements for the scholarship: Be an LGE Community Credit Union member in good standing at time of entry; OR have a parent, grandparent, or legal guardian who is an LGE Community Credit Union member in good standing at time of entry. Be a legal resident of the United States residing in the state of Georgia. Be a high school senior graduating in the 2023–2024 school year from a public high school, private school, or accredited home school in Bartow, Cherokee, Cobb, Douglas, Floyd, Fulton, Gordon, or Paulding County. Be enrolling to attend as a full-time student in an accredited college, university, or technical school in the United States during the fall of the 2023-2024 academic year. Campfire Scholarship: The Summit Quest provides three $1,000 scholarships to individuals whose lives have been impacted by a cancer diagnosis directly or have had their lives impacted through a parent or loved one’s diagnosis. Gordon County Farm Bureau Scholarship: Scholarships are awarded to high school seniors who: are Farm Bureau members, will pursue a career in an agricultural related field, and demonstrate satisfactory grades. Gordon County Chamber of Commerce Scholarship: The scholarship program is for a graduating high school senior, with no restrictions regarding race, religion, national origin, sex, or physical disability. The committee will evaluate each applicant based on the guidelines adopted. The 2024 application deadline is April 5, 2024. Gordon County College and Career Academy Scholarship: The scholarship is open to Gordon County high school seniors who have completed at least one pathway at the Gordon County College and Career Academy. Gordon County Foundation/Harold Hughes Scholarship: Scholarships will be awarded to students at SHS and GCHS.  Selections will be based on academic performance, extracurricular participation, and financial need.  These scholarships are funded by payroll contributions of the employees of Gordon County Schools.  Applications must be completed electronically and printed.  Handwritten copies will not be accepted. The electronic application is linked below.  A teacher recommendation form is included.  Must have two teacher recommendations.  Teacher recommendations do not have to be typed. Keep Calhoun Gordon Beautiful Scholarship: Keep Calhoun Gordon Beautiful will award up to five scholarships, with a minimum of $500 each, to students from Gordon County who have volunteered at our events and demonstrate an exceptional commitment to environmental sustainability and/or community beautification. 2024 Callins-Ware Scholarship: The scholarship contest is presented by Tau Mu Mu of ΩΨΦ & Omega Men of NWGA. The scholarship application is open to all college-bound graduating seniors who attend school in a NWGA county (Bartow, Catoosa, Chatooga, Dade, Floyd, Gordon, Murray, Polk, Walker, Whitfield). Calhoun-Gordon County Retired Educators Scholarship: The Calhoun-Gordon County Retired Educators Association is offering a scholarship in the amount of $500.00 to a graduating senior from each of the public high schools in the community who plans to pursue a career in education.Criteria for Selection: Criteria for selection include academic achievement, school and community involvement, clear-cut goals with definite plans to become an educator, and need for this scholarship.The 2024 application deadline is April 13, 2024. The Maurice M. Simmons Scholarship: The scholarship is sponsored annually by Victory Fellowship Center. It was established to fulfill the ministry’s vision of providing financial support for graduating high school seniors of Gordon County, Georgia desiring to continue their education at an institution of higher learning. Trinseo STEM Scholarship: The Trinseo STEM Scholarship is designed to help reduce financial barriers for a deserving student with academic and leadership potential and the desire to pursue a STEM career. The award recipient must be a graduating high school senior planning to attend an accredited two- or four-year college, university or vocational-technical school, full time in the United States for the entire 2024-25 academic year. CLStrong Foundation Scholarship: This scholarship is available to Calhoun, Gordon Central, and Sonoraville High School senior students. A recipient will be chosen from each school. The CLStrong Foundation is more than an organization for childhood cancer awareness, just as Connor Luke was more than a child with cancer.
