Tolbert Elementary Engages Students with Exciting STEAM Career Day

Tolbert Elementary School proudly hosted a vibrant and engaging STEAM Career Day, bringing together local professionals and community organizations to ignite students’ interest in careers across Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM).

The event, coordinated by School Counselor Hayley Pollard, offered students a valuable opportunity to explore real-world career paths and gain firsthand insight into the education and training required to pursue them.

Throughout the day, students connected with professionals from a wide range of industries—including public safety, healthcare, the arts, technical education, and utilities. These interactive sessions allowed students to ask questions, engage in hands-on demonstrations, and discover how classroom learning translates into future career opportunities.

Tolbert Elementary thanks the following presenters for sharing their time and expertise:

Michael Roberts, Local Artist

Dr. Gray, Best Friends Animal Hospital

Garrett Eckerd, Georgia Department of Natural Resources (DNR)

Caralyn Bricknell, Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI)
