Tolbert Elementary Celebrates Young Georgia  Authors  Writing  Competition Winners

Tolbert Elementary School proudly recognizes six outstanding students who were named winners in the Young Georgia Authors Writing Competition, a statewide competition that highlights exceptional student writing across grade levels.

This year’s Tolbert Elementary winners demonstrated creativity, strong storytelling skills, and a passion for writing that impressed judges and educators alike. Representing grades kindergarten through fifth grade, the students’ work reflects the school’s ongoing commitment to literacy, student voice, and academic excellence.

The 2025 Young Georgia Authors Writing Competition winners from Tolbert Elementary are:

•          Anna Hawkins, Kindergarten

•          Daniel Morataya, First Grade

•          Noah Dean, Second Grade

•          Charlotte Daniel, Third Grade

•          Lily Wiley, Fourth Grade

•          Aubree Tallent, Fifth Grade

The Young Georgia Authors Writing Competition is designed to promote writing as a critical skill and creative outlet for students across the state. Winners advance from the school level to district and, ultimately, to state recognition.
